**CRIME UPDATE**
Did you hear about the armed robbery at the Vero Beach Mulligan’s restaurant located in the heart of beachside shopping in Vero Beach? Some did, but many have not, as it appears the City of Vero Beach Police rank and file may not want the public to know. Why do you think they haven’t done much with the case? Well, that would mean City of Police Chief David “Don’t Care” Currey would have to actually do some policing and take a step back from politicking and traveling on the taxpayer dime.
According to recent reports, the manager of the restaurant was tied up before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash. A Vero Beach police spokesperson said the suspect was a thin Black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie, pants, and a black face covering. The spokesperson also noted that now there will be “increased patrol units in that area,” according to a local news source.
The City of Vero Beach Police Department is also seeking help finding a man who allegedly stole an entire display case from the St. Vincent De Paul Store on 14th Avenue around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. There has been a notable increase in crime throughout the City of Vero Beach over the past two years.
What does City of Police Chief David “Don’t Care” Currey do about it? Travels. That’s the ticket; no pun was intended. Thanks to some loyal readers, we have been blessed with a stockpile of documents showing the massive amount of taxpayer-funded travel the Chief likes to engage in while our city is falling apart. Senior Correspondent Dick Hampton will be bringing you some details soon.
